  1. All traffic lights at a busy 4 way intersection should have an arrow to turn left. How the DOT gets away without doing this is beyond me. Retired ER nurse. I lived in L.A. 57 years ago when I was 7. Nothing anywhere is the same, so don't pick on L.A.; I loved it and miss it.

  2. Thanks for the info. It's not insensitive, for international students most prioritise security and we look out for drugs, needles littering sidewalks, and homeless camps.

  3. That was so funny, I have visited the Venice Beach and Santa Monica area about three times now and the water is super cold all the time. I have opportunity to live in Santa Monica right off the beach pretty much, seems like one of the best areas, but it definitely intimidates me, I’m from Pennsylvania and I’ve been living in Arizona, and the traffic whether it’s Phoenix or wherever does not compare to Los Angeles or California in general. It is such a crazy fast life out there. People drive like I have a death wish. Obviously city life would be A major adjustment such as finding parking, all of the homeless, crazy people, superficial people. There is so much to be concerned about, I don’t want to get my stuff stolen or robbed. But I’ve been considering trying out getting into acting in the entertainment industry. Truly, there is no place like Venice though and the muscle Beach area in Santa Monica. So much culture, you can meet people from all walks of life, Venice Beach is like a circus mix with a music festival and state fair every single day

  5. I lived there for 3 years for college and then moved back home. I missed my college town but not LA in and of itself. I really disliked a lot of LA. I’m about to moving back to live close to my significant other (who can’t move here) and am definitely going to make the best of it so I wanted some inspo. Lol. I’ve visited several several times over the last year to see him and have had some fun for sure but also know there’s a lot of downsides.

  6. I really appreciate the thing that you mentioned about making a left turn, was terrified to experience that once I came to LA😂😂😂

  7. One negative to Southern California is the greediness of its citizens. RE: We can't tolerate open space – land's too valuable – there must be a structure on every square inch of land. What a crock!

  8. 6 things to know before moving to LA.

    1) Its an over priced shit hole
    2) You will be raped on taxes
    2) Homeless have more rights and benefits than
    you
    3) If your not a Liberal, you will be discriminated, hated and shamed.
    4) You will gain significant amount of weight from mexican food
    5) Everything in LA is over rated
    6) Values, morals and principles dont matter here.

And as a bonus for you….
    7) You will not make it as an actor or actress here.

    Your Welcome.

  9. You will never afford a house unless you are rich. Also watch 10 worst neighborhoods in LA. ( the world according to briggs). I grew up in LA 50 years ago and it was dangerous then. ( my brother was an LAPD patrolman and by 1980 it was too dangerous for him and he moved to Arizona.) New York is safer.

  10. She is failing to mention the weather in each of those neighborhoods for instance. Santa Monica will be 70 and 10 miles in could be 85 then the valley 15 miles north east could be 100..

  11. We also have Pasadena that is really close to LA also tho, silver lake n Santa Monica is like super far from LA lol far off subject.
